When I first started working with Ashlyn, our second King Charles Caviler, Bandit, was more of a menace than a joy. He was resisting being fully house trained, pulled on walks (twice in terrifying events where he ran into a busy road), and just wouldn’t listen to commands. Through a series of puppy classes, Ashlyn helped me find a way to communicate with Bandit and work with him. He wanted to do the right thing but often didn’t know what that was. 

Through patient communication, easy and fun homework, and a gentle approach, Ashlyn helped me and Bandit become best buds. He now walks right on my side on walks and I learned how to use parked cars and stationary objects as blinders for him when needed. He “references” me often for the right cues and loves our work (that feels more like games).  We “graduated” from Ashlyn’s training with a handful of obedience tasks and fun tricks. Months later, Bandit started displaying aggressive resource guarding behaviors and we reached out to Ashlyn for some refreshers. Her understanding of dog behaviors and how “they view the world” turned around my family’s understanding of this unwanted behavior and with small adjustments on all of our parts, we were able to gently move away from even this toughest of behavior problems.”
